Class NotesScientific Method Vocabulary1. Observation: Information gathered using your senses.
2. Variable: a factor changed in an experiment. 2a. Independent variable: a factor that you change. 2b. dependent variable: a factor that changes as a result of the independent variable 2c. confounding variable: a factor that confuses your result 3. Control: The part of an experiment held constant, compared against the variable. 4. Qualitative Data: descriptive data without numbers, such as hardness, shape, color. 5.
